Here’s how it works:

You can make a table topper, a twin size quilt or a queen size quilt.

You pick the fabric, but you don’t know what the pattern is (that’s the mystery)

Every Tuesday I will email a new clue for four weeks.

Week 1 is the fabric requirements and cutting directions. The next three weeks are piecing clues. After receiving clue #3, you email me when you are ready for the next clue (so you won’t fall behind and give up)

Toonie Block of the Month:

This is our second year for this programme. Last year the blocks were all 9 patch variations. This year they are all star variations. All sizes will use 12 blocks. Twin and especially Queen will have extra fabric and piecing to do to finish the top. The queen will basically have 12 star blocks round a large centre feathered star.

Here’s how it works:

The first Tuesday of each month for $2 you will receive the fabric to piece a 12½” block and directions. Some months you will receive two of your blocks so that your quilt top will be ready by Oct.

Completer kits (which include sashing, borders, binding and further instructions) are available for purchase.

It is important to note that we run out of completer kits, so order early.

If you belong to a group and/or are out of town, we can mail out the blocks and completer kits all at once (to save some postage) or a block at a time for $1 additional each month for postage.

When is this all starting? Most of the fabric has now arrived. I will email out pictures of fabric selections and availability later this week. Sign up will be next Tuesday Feb 7^th. Toonie blocks and completer kits must be paid for in advance. Sorry, no exceptions this year.
